The Lake Weslemkoon Conservation Association is a dedicated group of volunteers that are committed to protecting the terrestrial and aquatic environment of Lake Weslemkoon.

There are 11 trails off Weslemkoon Lake and Otter Lake most accessed by boat.
If you wish to explore any of the trails off the lake please give us a call to arrange water taxi service and an overview of how to be prepared for your journey.

St. Ola’s Station General Store is a short 40 mins drive from Big Rock and provides general goods, cafe items, pizza, gas, and a mini LCBO. It’s th perfect place to stop to fill up your tank while snowmobiling or for a tasty treat while on the road.

Looking for a moderate hike with an incredible waterfall as the reward? Just over an hour drive from Big Rock this is a great option for a day trip to explore this incredible nature reserve.

Just under an hour drive, enjoy a drive to historic Madoc where you can visit local shops, the O’Hara Mill Homestead, and The HIdden Goldmine Bakery. Madoc also has a full size LCBO, grocery stores and gas stations.

Wollaston and Chandos Lakes beaches are approximately an hour and 15 mins away are two public beach areas that families can enjoy for a day outing. Picnic areas, washrooms, beach and shallow areas for swimming with walk out sandy bottoms.
